Day 1: Manado airport – Tomohon
Pick you up at Manado Airport, directly to Tomohon check-in at hotel and breakfast, after that
we will go to (Mahawu Mt), visit to (Sulawesi Pitta & Scaly-breasted Kingfisher) after that
having lunch at Gardenia Restaurant, while waiting for lunch ready we will Photograph one
of the main target which is (Sulawesi Myzomela) around the Garden at Gardenia Resort,
After that go to Hotel check-in. If the time permits we will go to (Mahawu Mt) we will
Photograph some other birds there until night.
Day 2: Tomohon – Kotamobagu
Morning at 6am. directly to (Gunung mahawu) we will photograph the highlight bird species
such as:
- Sulawesi-blue Flycatcher
- Citrine Flycatcher
- Red-eared fruit Dove
- Superb fruit dove
- Crimson-crowned
lowerpecker, and much more. After that we will come back to the hotel,
have breakfast, and then check-out from the Hotel head straight to Kotamobagu about (4h
drive) upon arrival in Kotamobagu check-in at the Hotel dinner and rest.
Day 3: Kotamobagu – Tangkoko
Early in the morning check-out from the Hotel and then heading to (Bogani Nani Wartabone),
one of the places to photograph the (Maleo Bird) After that directly to Tangkoko, check-in at
the Lodge and prepare your birding stuff if the time permit and we will start to explore the
jungle. On this day, (Sulawesi Scops-Owl) one of the main targets to photograph, come back
to the Lodge, have dinner and rest.
Day 4-5: Full days trip at Tangkoko NP
Morning breakfast at 6am. After breakfast we will catch the highlight species such as:
- Sulawesi Hawk-Eagle
- Sulawesi Goshawk
- Spot-tailed Sparrowhawk
- Red-backed Thrush
- Yellow-billed Malkoha
- Ashy Woodpecker
- knobbed Hornbill
- Ochre-bellied Boobook
Come back to the Homestay for lunch, Around 2pm, we will continue the trip to photograph
some other species such as:
- Azure-rumped Parrot
- White-faced Cuckoo Dove
- White-necked Myna
- Sulawesi Roller
- Sulawesi Babbler
- Pale-blue Monarch
- Barred Rail
- Black-naped Fruit-dove, and much more.
At 6pm we will try to photograph the (Sulawesi Nightjar), after having a good picture come
back to the Lodge, dinner and rest.
Day 6: Temboan Hills – Mangrove
Early in the morning at 5:30 am. Directly to Temboan hills, spend about 2-3 hours there to
spotted some bird such as:
- Yellow-breasted Racquet-tail
- Golden-mantled Racquet-tail
- Sulawesi Hornbill
- Sulawesi Cicadabird
- Sulawesi Triller
- Sulawesi myna
- Green-Imperial Pigeon
- Silver-tipped Imperial-pigeon
- Sulawesi serpent eagle
- Sulawesi hanging Parrot and much more.
After that we will move to the next spotted, namely (Sulawesi Dwarf-Kingfisher) Come back
to the Lodge for lunch, after lunch Around 3pm, we will go to the mangrove area by boat to
spotted one of the kingfisher, Great (black)-billed Kingfisher and some other birds such as:
Pink-necked green Pigeon, Whimbrel, Grey-tailed tattler, etc.
Day 7: Tangkoko – Manado airport
Morning breakfast at 6am. After breakfast we will try again to find birds that were not seen
on day 4/5 after that back to the Lodge for lunch after lunch check-out and transfer guests to
the Manado airport, about (1h 40m drive) and end the trip.
