Day 1: Manado airport – Tomohon

Pick you up at Manado Airport, directly to Tomohon check-in at hotel and breakfast, after that
we will go to (Mahawu Mt), visit to (Sulawesi Pitta & Scaly-breasted Kingfisher) after that
having lunch at Gardenia Restaurant, while waiting for lunch ready we will Photograph one
of the main target which is (Sulawesi Myzomela) around the Garden at Gardenia Resort,
After that go to Hotel check-in. If the time permits we will go to (Mahawu Mt) we will
Photograph some other birds there until night.

Day 2: Tomohon – Kotamobagu

Morning around 6am. directly go to (Gunung mahawu) we will photograph the highlight bird
species such as:
• Sulawesi-blue Flycatcher
• Citrine Flycatcher
• Red-eared fruit Dove
• Superb fruit dove
• Crimson-crowned Flowerpecker, and much more. After that we will come back to the hotel,
have breakfast, and then check-out from the Hotel then head straight to Kotamobagu,
check-in at the Hotel in Kotamobagu, dinner and rest.

Day 3: Kotamobagu – Tangkoko

Early in the morning check-out from the Hotel and then directly to (Bogani Nani Wartabone),
one of the places to photograph the (Maleo Bird) After that directly to Tangkoko, check-in at
the Lodge and prepare your birding stuff if the time permit and we will start to explore the
jungle. On this day, (Sulawesi Scops-Owl) one of the main targets to photograph, come back
to the Lodge, have dinner and rest.

Day 4-5: Full day birding at Tangkoko NR

Morning breakfast at 5:30 am. After breakfast we will catch the highlight species such as:
• Green-backed Kingfisher
• Sulawesi Lilac Kingfisher
• Sulawesi Goshawk
• Spot-tailed Goshawk
• Sulawesi Hawk-Eagle
• Yellow-billed Malkoha
• knobbed Hornbill
• Ochre-bellied Boobook
Come back to the Homestay for lunch, Around 2pm, we will continue the trip to photograph
some other species such as:
• Azure-rumped Parrot
• Ashy Woodpecker
• White-faced Cuckoo Dove
• White-necked Myna
• Sulawesi Roller
• Sulawesi Babbler
• Pale-blue Monarch
• Barred Rail
• Black-naped Fruit-dove, and much more.
around 6pm we will try to photograph the (Sulawesi Nightjar), after having a good picture
come back to the Lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Temboan Hills – Mangrove

Early in the morning at 5:30 am. Directly to Temboan hills, spend there around 2-3 hours
there to spotted some bird such as:
• Yellow-breasted Racquet-tail
• Golden-mantled Racquet-tail
• Sulawesi Hornbill
• Sulawesi Cicadabird
• Sulawesi Triller
• Sulawesi myna
• Green-Imperial Pigeon
• Silver-tipped Imperial-pigeon
• Sulawesi serpent eagle
• Sulawesi hanging Parrot and much more.
After that we will move to the next spotted, namely (Sulawesi Dwarf-Kingfisher) Come back
to the Lodge for lunch, after lunch Around 3pm, we will go to the mangrove area by boat to
spotted one of the kingfisher, Great (black)-billed Kingfisher and some other birds such as:
Pink-necked green Pigeon, Whimbrel, Grey-tailed tattler, etc.

Day 7: Tangkoko – Ternate – Halmahera

Early morning at 3:30 check-out from the Lodge and then around (1,5 hour drive) to Manado
airport. flight to Ternate arrive in Ternate directly go to the Hotel for breakfast, after breakfast
drive around 20 minutes to bird hide of the (North Moluccan Pitta Ternate) after that we will
lunch at Ternate city, after lunch directly to Ternate port, and then cross with the speed boat
to sidangoli (Halmahera) around 45 minutes, Arrived in sidangoli prepare your birding stuff
and then we will go to spotted one of the main target to Photograph (Ivory-breasted Pitta),
after that we will continue to the next bird target to Photograph (North Moluccan Pitta
Halmahera) etc..directly to Sofifi check-in at the hotel, Dinner and rest.

Day 8: Sofifi – Sidangoli – Subaim

Morning check-out at 4:00 directly to Sidangoli, Arriving at Sidangoli we will try to find the
(Moluccan Owlet-nightjar) after that have breakfast at the local guide house, after breakfast
we will do a birding full day at (Sidangoli) Highlight bird targets to Photograph such as:
• Gray-headed Fruit-Dove
• Violet-necked Lory
• Rufous-bellied Triller
• Willie Fantail
• Halmahera Paradise-crow
• Moluccan Monarch
• Blue-capped Fruit-Dove
• Long-billed Crow
• Halmahera Golden Bulbul
• Scarlet-breasted Fruit-Dove
• Chattering lory
• Black Sunbird
• Reed Cheek-parrot
• Sombre Kingfisher
• Blue and white Kingfisher
• Beach Kingfisher
• Goliath Coucal
• Long billed crow
• Gray-headed Fruit dove and much more.
After birding at 11:30 am, have a break for lunch, after lunch we will do birding on the road
side from Sidangoli direction to Subaim, check-in at the Hotel, dinner and rest.

Day 9: Subaim – Ekor (Aketajawe)

Early morning drive to Aketajawe NP, (2 hours drive) arrive in Aketajawe NP, we will
breakfast first before visit to display tower of the (Standardwing BOP), after having a good
picture of the (Standardwing BOP), we will continue to the next target to photograph,
(Halmahera Paradise KF & North Moluccan Dwarf-Kingfisher), After birding we have lunch
around the village at ekor, after lunch we will do a birding on the road side from ekor
direction to Subaim, we will try to find the (Scarlet-breasted Fruit-Dove), and some other
birds after that directly to Subaim. dinner and rest.

Day 10: Full day birding at Uni-uni hills

Morning breakfast at 5:00 After breakfast we will drive around 1 hours to the birding site
Uni-uni hills spend around ¾ hours there, Highlight bird’s targets such as:
• Moluccan King-Parrot
• Azure Dollarbird
• Moluccan Imperial Pigeon
• Cinnamon-bellied Imperial-pigeon
• White-naped Monarch
• Red-cheeked Parrot
• Scarlet breasted fruit Dove
• Great Cuckoo-Dove
• Oriental Hobby
• Moluccan Hanging Parrot, and much more. Come back to Subaim for lunch, and after
lunch back to the Hotel, take a rest. And around 3pm we will do birding in Uni-uni hills. We
will try again to find some birds that you have not seen in the morning.

Day 11: Subaim – Sidangoli – Ternate

Morning breakfast at 5:00 after breakfast we will drive back to Sidangoli along the way to
Sidangoli we will do a birding on the road side from Subaim direction to Sidangoli, After
arriving in Sidangoli, lunch and then cross with the speed boat to Ternate. then directly to the
Hotel at Ternate, dinner and rest.

Day 12: Ternate and end the trip

Morning breakfast at 6:00 after breakfast we will do birding around Ternate, after birding
come back to the Hotel. Check-out directly to the Airport and end the trip.
